Our Story
Minnesota Book Restoration & Bindery (MBR&B) is located in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN and provides multiple restoration and binding services. MBR&B is a legacy studio with Mary Bahneman as the newest owner. Mary is a third generation practitioner having apprenticed with Gary Buchner, a master restorer with a national reputation spanning over 13 years. Buchner began his career with the well-known and highly esteemed Campbell-Logan Bindery, one of the oldest restoration services in Minneapolis. Buchner’s sense of extraordinary craft and mastery of skill has been passed onto Mary Bahneman, and the legacy continues under her vision and leadership. Buchner will continue working with Minnesota Book Restoration & Bindery as a master binder, consultant, and good friend.
